Blend your fillings in with your natural teeth
Composite resin is used to repair a damaged tooth by filling the cavity and preventing further damage.
To begin treatment, the treatment area will be numbed using a local anaesthetic.
The dentist will then remove the infected areas of the teeth using a number of different dental tools. A decay-detecting agent will also be used to ensure all the decayed tooth is removed.
Next the cavity will be prepared for the restorative filling by cleaning it out of any bad bacteria.
When the tooth is ready, the tooth-coloured composite resin material will be applied in layers and hardened using a special light.
Once all the layers have been applied to the tooth and hardened, the dentist will shape the tooth by trimming off any excess filling and ensuring it follows natural contours.
The final step will have our dental team ensuring your filling aligns with your bite and we’ll finish by polishing your tooth.
It’s important to care for your oral health and ensure you avoid future cavities by following these steps:
